A l\u2019\u00e9poque, il porte alors le nom de <strong>\u00ab Castell de Forcadell \u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Plus r\u00e9cente (enfin, tout est relatif\u2026), la tour de vigilance a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite au XVIe si\u00e8cle, sous le r\u00e8gne de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.larousse.fr\/encyclopedie\/personnage\/Charles_V\/112815\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Charles Quint<\/a>. Le roi d\u2019Espagne et empereur du Saint Empire Romain Germanique entend alors <strong>prot\u00e9ger la c\u00f4te catalane et la ville de Barcelone des attaques de pirates.<\/strong> Venus d\u2019Afrique du Nord, ils sillonnent la mer M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e et pillent ses villages c\u00f4tiers. Un r\u00e9seau de tour de vigilance, \u00e9gren\u00e9es sur la Costa Brava, permet donc d\u2019alerter villes et villages gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des signaux de fum\u00e9e ou de lumi\u00e8re. <strong>Les fermes fortifi\u00e9es de Tossa de Mar<\/strong>, tels que le <a href=\"#LP_267\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Can Leandro<\/a>, sont un autre t\u00e9moin de la menace barbaresque sur la p\u00e9ninsule ib\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n<p>De cet ensemble fortifi\u00e9, ne subsistent malheureusement aujourd\u2019hui qu\u2019une tour et un pan de mur.
